I’ve always been intrigued by the moon — it’s a constant presence in our lives, but looks different each day as the angle, air quality and phase change. A couple years ago I purchased a Nikon P900 because of its talent for capturing close-ups of the moon. On a clear night, it can pick up detail of the craters on its surface, which is just plain cool to see. My latest challenge is trying to capture moonrises over mountains and hillsides to have something interesting in the foreground. I’m still learning!
